Last week it was reported in national newspapers that natural progesterone can help fight oestrogen driven breast cancers. It is wonderful that this action of progesterone is at long last being acknowledged and researched more thoroughly as it has been ignored for so long by main stream medicine.

See one of the articles here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-33444613

However, it is unfortunate that once again, there is much confusion about real progesterone and the synthetic versions contained in the pill. Some newspaper articles actually reported that the progestogen in the pill was beneficial for women with breast cancer. This is so misleading as these artificial types can cause cancer whereas progesterone protects and negates the harmful effects of too much oestrogen.

It is also unfortunate that it is referred to as a drug which gives the impression that it is something other than the natural progesterone hormone.

It is sad to think that there is much evidence to show how protective progesterone is against breast cancer and other types of cancer which had been known about since 1981. One such study was researched and published from the prestigious John’s Hopkins University in America. Please see research evidence in article below:

This research article is also written about in Dr John Lee’s books ‘What your doctor may not tell you about breast cancer’ and ‘What your doctor may not tell you about menopause’. I would recommend that every woman should own one of these books as women in general are very much confused and left in the dark when it comes to the true facts about how their hormones work.
