Well another large study showing how much more of a risk conventional HRT is to breast cancer and confirming that the previous studies conducted in 2002 and 2003 were not flawed after all. Professor Valerie Beral said: “This study has brought together all worldwide evidence. It shows a persistent risk of breast cancer for ten to 15 years even after people stop taking hormone replacement therapy, this was not known about before.”
After seeing this I immediately posted this message on as many forums as I could, having followed the work of this amazing lady for many years:
“Well done Dame Professor Valerie Beral and all her team at Oxford involved in the latest research into HRT and breast cancer! She deserves the Noble Prize for her amazing work which undoubtedly saved millions of lives. There are safe treatments for menopausal symptoms if only they were promoted as much as conventional HRT. I read Dr John Lee’s book years ago! It is called ‘What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause’. A real eyeopener.”
She has been fighting such unbelievably powerful forces to get this important information out to women much the same as Dr John Lee but working in different fields. They both saw the real dangers with HRT, but Dr Lee was able to go further and show us another way to help to alleviate the horrible symptoms many women suffer with hormonal imbalances.

Valerie Beral was later interviewed again, on BBC Radio 4 on the 5th February 2013, where she was given more time to put her case across so eloquently without constantly being interrupted! In my opinion, this lady deserves the Noble Prize for all the work she has done which will have, no doubt, saved the lives of many.
