Countryfile programme shown on BBC1 Sunday March 19, 2002 at 11.30 A.M. confirmed that scientists in the UK are extremely worried about the effects of oestrogen in our drinking water caused mainly by women taking the pill. The Daily Mail published a report the next day explaining how oestrogen pollution may be affecting the sex of male fish and causing human sperm counts to fall at an alarming rate over the last 50 years.
