I first learned of the work of Dr John Lee in the year of 1996 just after he had his ground breaking book published titled, ‘What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause’. I saw it advertised in a national newspaper and was intrigued by the title and so ordered it immediately. I had been suffering from severe hormone imbalance of progesterone and oestrogen for many years and all that the doctors could offer me were synthetic hormones such as the pill or HRT which always came with a variety of side-effects. In all the years I had suffered, not one had ever explained that there were natural hormones available, particularly natural progesterone, that could have effectively relieved my symptoms.
When Dr Lee’s book arrived I had no idea of what the contents would be, but as I started to read it, I soon realised that this book was very different to any other on the same subject. Dr Lee helped me to really understand how our hormones worked within the body and how to effectively and safely alleviate symptoms of hormonal imbalance which can manifest themselves in symptoms such as PMS, menopause, menstrual disorders, post natal depression, osteoporosis, fibroids, endometriosis, breast and uterine cancer and many other female disorders connected to hormonal imbalance.
Thanks to Dr Lee and all the work he has put into helping women understand the true facts of hormone therapy, I was able to help myself balance my hormones naturally and regain my health. I have been using natural progesterone cream since 1996 and I have never looked back.
Shortly after discovering Dr Lee’s work and using natural progesterone, I attended a seminar in Bangor where Dr Lee was speaking. The whole audience of 300 was riveted by what he had to say. I found him fascinating, warm, witty, and completely genuine to women’s causes. He was a wonderful man who knew his subject so well. He was fearlessly honest and felt so strongly about how women should be more educated about their hormones and the difference between the natural and synthetic.
I have been intensively studying the work of Dr Lee ever since and I have never failed to be amazed at how approachable he was. I rang his number once to ask some questions. When the phone was answered I asked for Dr Lee. I then heard him answer “This is he”. It was great to speak with him which lasted for around 20mins. I found him to be just as witty and enthusiastic about his subject just the same as when he was in front of the audience. He didn’t know me very well at that time, but still found the time to speak to me even though he was in the middle of a dinner party. He was one doctor that made me feel very special indeed!
I believe that many thousands of women owe their health and ultimately their lives to the work of this great man. His legacy will live on in all those who have been helped by him and in those who will continue his work in helping to educate others as he so wished.
God bless you Dr John Lee.
Judy.
